I need to update my game already.

A big update that fixes a lot and adds a lot.

When can I update my game?

When can I update my game?

it looks like you can update anytime. it seems the itch system locks the submission as the original/pre-deadline version separate from whatever you do after the deadline.

tower of 2 has updated theirs on their game page but i confirmed the download on the submission page is the original.

OK, that is all I needed, thank you.

some follow-up. i have no idea how they updated it where the project page disallows uploads on mine.

i can delete it but no idea how i would upload a replacement.

i know another user is investigating the "option", as well but i have no time to investigate further for myself (work calls).

Uploads
Uploads are temporarily disabled because voting for AppGameKit Community Competition [TD] is in progress. You'll be able to make changes after the jam is over.

So I can not update lol.

Well I still can not update my game.

I guess we will have to wait till the 5th.

Oh well lol.

I notified people on my game page.

Final Rankings are complete and i've submitted them to itch.io. Hopefully they appear before too long.

Alas, you don't have to wait. See attached

I'm going to take a break and will begin making contact with all Prize Winners soon.

Congrats to all

Add: So i figured out how to push the results on itch

Congratulations to all the winners!
It's been fun participating and trying out each other's games!

Unfortunately life gave me too many obligations and I didn't have the time to finish my game before the deadline!
But I will update my game with a polished, way more original version tomorrow or very soon. (still haven't figured out how to use Vishnu packaging tool the way I want to )

When is the next round?

When is the next round?

ha! catch your breath already?

i know big prizes are nice but how many would enter a comp just for fun?

i will say that i'm pleased with the ratio of submissions to participants which seemed higher than many others i've seen on itch.

i was worried we wouldn't have enough submissions to fill the prizes for a while and then additional submissions started trickling in unexpectedly. sneaky!

and then i worried if i would have enough time to give them all solid runs/evaluations.

so, a lotta work & worrying, yes but, all worth it!

I would also like to thank you for this wonderful competition.
It was a new experience for me. To take part in such a competition.
It was fun.
I also congratulate the winners.
So I wouldn't mind if this would become an annual event.
And the 2 - 3 months time to create the game was reasonable.

neither would i

and, trust me when i say that blink @ scraggle were a large part of this competition. i might have been the one doing most of the "talking" but it couldn't have gone off without them.

meanwhile, i've updated the First post to include a link to the Final Results post so anyone reading this thread in the future can jump right to it. See "Winners", there.

and, FYI. TGC has agreed to allow unique badges for the competition which i've been working on ideas. i hope to have them ready sooner than later so watch this space.

i'm no artist so things like this that might take an hour for some take me days! i wish i'd have thought of it sooner so they'd be ready, but... another lesson i've learned.

I think that would bring a lot more people to the game creators also.

in time comp after comp people would see the good potential of app game kit.

Hi there,

I'm pretty new to this AppGameKit thing and just want to thank you for organizing
the competition. I was thinking for a long time to make a tower defense game,
so it was a good opportunity to start something and to keep me engaged.
Posted: 7th Feb 2022 22:40
speaking of badges, most of the submissions would look great in the AppGameKit Showcase: https://www.appgamekit.com/showcase (hint, hint)

let me know when it's approved and i'll be sure to badge you up. perhaps link to the comp's itch page in the showcase, there, to spread the love? https://itch.io/jam/agk-community-competition-tower-defense

meanwhile, the comp definitely provided nice additions to the made-with-agk tag @ itch.

so much "positive" coming from the comp, we'll have to do it again sometime
