In 2016, 2017 years - be Official Tutorials as books in 2 parts...

the Classic books were discontinued with the Studio books published which cover all the Classic commands.
they've also received a recent price drop. there is a ~300 page sample available to download, as well.

re: 3D, unfortunately i can't think of any Tutorials but i know that ando provided source code for a simple 3d space shooter that might help you understand some of the basics. and, they've also offered source for a 3d vehicle using bullet physics. neither touch on animation, i dont believe, but feel free to ask any questions where some here are pretty knowledgeable in all things 3d.

and, don't forget to look at the small 3D Projects that ship with AppGameKit under ".../App Game Kit 2/Projects/3D" if you haven't already.

hope that helps

In a nutshell: The 3D physics examples were removed from the forum because the author spat his dummy out because his post was unpinned after he spat his dummy out at not getting more work on the 3D libs ... or, something like that!

The 3D physics examples were removed

and returned in the Resource Directory thread.

I stand corrected!

Dam it!, I came looking for the character controller a while back and discovered "the thread" where all this unfolded and found them gone, Guess I should keep an eye on the stickys!

This shot is from a test of ando's 3D example as EXE, but I would like to try a racer in 2.5D for the HTML with flat (nearly flat) tracks, and fake the bumps if made as ramps for jumps.

Nearly flat tracks could be good for his example though for some really neat racing.

The Xbox Developer agreement I was reading is for 'E' type 10+ games and under, with no extreme or realistic violence etc etc, so 'off road' driving/racing games are a safe play.

I had to set a fixed value at line 297 for 1024 , 1024 to avoid a minimap image divisible by 2 error, but that was not biggie. (have not tried to tweak or anything yet)
