Hello, I'm following the instructions on creating a bada app from a tier 1 bytecode file and was wondering if it can be done without any Bada hardware?

I don't have access to any Bada devices but still need to package it up for it. I've done everything up until the following steps:
* To test hardware, ensure you are connected to the phone by USB
* Make sure you select USB Debugging when prompted on the phone
* Click the 'arrow' to the right of the green Run As button
* From the Run As Configuration dialog, you will see Bada Target Application

As I said I dont have the hardware, but skipping to part where you add the reference to the bytecode, clean and build doesn't really do anything. (I get the "launch Failed. Binary not found" error.

Has anyone got any ideas??

Very hard working day ...

I'm not sure that I understood you exactly.

I understand correctly that you are trying to build a single application?

it can be done without any Bada hardware?

yes you can do it, you can even test on the emulator.

I get the "launch Failed. Binary not found" error.

Yes.

How can I test it with an emulator then?

you need build semulator debug.
popup menu on your project select Build configurations > Set active >
1 one is your, then build project and run as bada semulator app

You're welcome.

in general that I have an idea to concoct a little video clip on this topic.

Curious if you solved this one. The simulator works fine if you don't have a Bada device, and we have Simulator libraries for this purpose. Just change your Build Configuration to Simulator prior to Bada 2 and if you are using the new 106 build, just select the Simulator when you choose your target and you'll see your Bada app right on the desktop.

Not solved it yet, but to be honest, I've not really tried to be honest. Forza 4 and Gears of War 3 take up the entirety of my spare time! lol
