Lee, can you give us an idea how the process will work? Who is looking at the reports? What status changes will a report go through? Will the results be available anywhere besides that specific place? (like here in the forums?)

I'm just curious as to how it's going to unfold.

New Bug Board

Essentially rather than bug reports getting lost in the forum, they are collected in a central list at code.google. I will then classify the issues as features, bugs and what priority they should have. If anyone would like to pitch in on each issue to verify those bugs as confirmed, they will be given higher priority as it's quicker to fix a confirmed bug than one where I have to trial and error to find it. Once they are confirmed, I will fix the issue for the next build, and mark it as such. When the next build is released, the original reporter of the issue can confirm it has been fixed, and if not resurrect the issue on the issues board and the cycle repeats. Should be a much better system than the one used by DBP!

Sounds like a well-thought-out plan. Thanks for the info.

Any news on when the bug-board will be looked at? None of the posted bugs have had any change in status or priority. I'm particularly interested in #2/#16, as my Sandbox project is at a virtual stand-still until I can add more code.

...same here! Have my next app almost ready for the store but need to add more code.... Would be great to have the next update soon....

..same here!

And here.
This is far more important than adding Android support. There's no point spending time making a broken language fail on more systems. It's best to make it work correctly, before expanding it to other platforms.

Heck no, fix first, extras after.

My main gripe with this new bug forum is the fact that it looks all but ignored by any members of TGC. The only bug that has been accepted by the looks, is the first on the list, and that's been the case for quite a while now. It would certainly look better if someone updated the page occasionally, rather than leaving it to stagnate as it seems currently.

Oh, and definitely fix first. No point having android support if we have the same problems with that.
The artist I am working with for one of my projects is frustrated already lol! I am more patient.

This is what he said in a conversation earlier, "All I'm saying is that it's a software package that only allows you to develop games you could store on a floppy disk, they should of sorted it by now, people have paid for it so they can develop new apps/games not "Top 10 atari 2600 games -IN COLOUR".

I think he is annoyed lol.

He has a point.

Hey TGC, could one of these people possibly post if bugs are actually being looked at, and maybe update the issue type/status/priority on the bug board?

It's really sad that I spend all day at work refreshing the bug board page. Pathetic.

When is the next build going to be released since the sprite/text crash has been fixed?
Posted: 22nd Sep 2011 16:43
i think they might want to fix a few more things before releasing another update
