The new challenge just started in the DBPro Coding Challenges thread above, set by Pricey, is to design a traffic simulation. It can be a self running demo, or it could be interactive - it's up to you, but it should involve vehicles which move according to rules. This is pretty open ended - you don't have to write the next 'Driv3r' or 'GTA', but you may want to think about things like driving on the correct side of the road, obeying traffic lights, avoiding collisions with obstacles and each other, etc.) It could also involve pathfinding - or you could perhaps just have a single road and simulate a traffic jam or even a multiple car pile-up.

This should be a very interesting challenge - everybody welcome to join in.

The deadline is Monday 9th July.

This is the same thing I wrote for a 20 line challenge some time ago.

Looks very nice Zerk. The dbpro challenges are all about 'no-media' coding, though - the idea is to write a self contained piece of code using just DBPro (no loaded images, models, or plugins like DarkAI) - so unfortunately your entry isn't allowed. But keep working on it - you have the beginnings of something very good there.

Full rules and information for the DBPro challenges can be found in the first post of the thread. Also, all entries should be posted in the DBPro challenge thread please - not here.

Cheers.

Ric.
