I tried to play on VPN with Hamachi, but it doesn't work.

My game uses default net game command to host. What's the matter?

It's hard enough getting DirectPlay through a router never mind stuffing it down a Virtual Private Network secure tunnel!

There may be a problem with the latest version of Hamachi. My friend and I couldn't play Rise of Legends after we downloaded the latest update this week. After we reinstalled an older version it worked fine.

I agree. VPN tunneling happens at a level that is for the most part transparent to an application that has the correct IP address.

Other protocols may get hosed in VPN mode - and sometimes rcertains routes get lost if they aren't reachable via the VPN - but aside from possibly degraded throughput - (encryption etc) I would think its MORE then "possible" its DO-ABLE
