I use the free (royalty free aswell) MeD editor for designing characters and other objects (its like QMe but alot more advanced) and i can use vertex animation, but when i use "bones" to animate the character DBPro kind of ignores the animation, it finds the frames but doesn't animate.

has anyone else found a work around or do i have to program some kind of function thingy?

Maybe you need to change the play speed because if it's animatng realy slow it can look like it's not animating.

Some animating tools put hundreds, even thousands, of tween (inbetween) frames so you have to place a crazy high speed to make it animate.

An example of this is "DBP/Media/Models/Gun/New Gun.X"
It's a rotating chain gun anim that only lasts a couple of seconds but it has 20160 frames, so thats around 10000fps play speed!!

You mean MD3 bones, right? MD2 have no bones. MD2 is strictly frames. I was not able in two attempts to get MD3 to show up, but that is me, I think.

You should be able to add frames at the end, but I think that would be on you to manage the start/stop and animations, but that is already the case. MD2 interpolation is very smooth, despite them being, what 10 years old?

You might want to check if the bones exist inside darkbasic by messing around with the ROTATE LIMB commands and stuff. That way, you can figure out if it's a problem with your bones exporting or their animation exporting.
