Hey guys,

I finally finished my horror music pack. 16 high quality mp3 tracks royalty free for use in your DarkBasic and FPSC projects. The pack is only £12 and can be purchased and downloaded today with a credit card. I hope some of you will purchase a copy as its mainly for this community that this project was under taken.

You can purchase here. http://payloadz.com/go/sip?id=320885

p.s MODS feel free to delete my previous posts about this product. Also as this pack is available for both Darkbasic and FPSC I am planning to make two identical posts in both forums, I hope this is ok as the pack directly benefits both separate communities.

Mods! how many time is he gona bump this thread thats not realy on topic?

And he's effectivly stuck a buy it now button this thread
"You can purchase here. http://payloadz.com/go/sip?id=320885"
it forwards you directly to PayPal to hand over £12

I think pointing your customers to your home page http://www.dazdicks.comwould give more people confidence that you have a product. But it doesn't say the tracks you can hear are yours/in the pack and there is only 10 when ur pack states 16.

You might have more luck letting people by individual .mp3 files

Hey Junkrock, I may be contacting you about some custom music in the future, so don't be too disheartened

I look foward to hearing from you

Possible reasons for lack of response:

(1) £12 is the same price as an album with millions of dollars of production.

(2) The widespread availablity of PD, CC, and freeware, royalty-free, net music.

Good luck on your project, but I think you will have more than 3x/4x the sales if you drop the price to £3-4.

Do you think I should tell him his web site security sux?

[out of kindness to web design newbies I removed the link where you can just down his tracks for free]

JunkRock most sites talk over the sample saying their site name to stop them being taken and used like this.

Well all the tracks in my site are already in use in other projects (except for the Horror one which is in the pack) So downloading them would not so much be an issue with me as the respective owners, also could mods please do something about GatorHex publicly listing the directory of my portfolio....Unacceptable in my opinion and as good as advertising warez, if my site security is bad then thats my problem, to advertise HOW to illegally download my tracks is just as bad.

In my opinion £12 is an acceptable price as the quality of my equipment and sounds are of higher quality than much of the free music on the net.

Its a shame, I took time away from my other project to create something for this community just to have it kicked back in my face.

Please accept this as my last attempt to contribute to this forum.

Regards

No flame intended. How's the MMORPG going are you writing it in Dark Basic Pro?

I've deleted the last three posts. Don't know exactly what the big from is. DaZ has some music he wants to sell. I would personally recommend to lower the price, but that's not my decision. The tracks seem pretty clean, so anyone making a horror game should be pretty happy.

I'd recommend you make a thread in the FPSC media section if you already haven't. Perhaps those users will also be interested. Don't give up too early though, you really need to give things time. Especially since this is the first type of packs you've made, it'll take time for people to notice you.

Just listened to your samples on your main site and have to say im very impressed, how long did it take you to make those?. I especially liked the 'secret project' theme, wish there was some way to buy that one. Good luck on sales and if I cant figure out another way of getting music for my projects, Ill definitely be contacting you for some custom tunes.

I took the liberty of buying the Horror Music Pack, and can confirm the quality is very good. Some great atmosphere backdrops, some chilling themes and a few great action sequences for fight scenes. I suggest you practise with some sample MP3 files in your projects first, as the music is provied in MP3 only. You might need permission from the author to convert them to WAV or OGG for use in FPS Creator I cannot stress enough the importance of good music and sound effects to polish your creations with. To commission this music professionally, you would pay anything from a few hundred to several thousand pounds. If you are writing a horror / thriller style game, it's worth £12 just to find out if there is anything you can use from the collection!

Just for clarification, my opinion here is that of a fellow game author, not as a TGC bod. TGC does not endorse third party products we do not sell. As our newsletter states, check carefully before parting with your cash!

@MikeS, Thank you for your help in the matter it is much appriciated.

@Super Nova, After the recent support from you guys I am reconsidering my position and am contemplating a second pack. I was thinking of an action pack so ill make sure to add some of the 'secret project theme' style cues.

@ LeeBamber, Thank you for your support, and the recommendation, its very much appreciated! Just a note users do have full permission to convert the tracks into any format they wish so long as they keep to the user agreement included in the pack.

Thanks for the positive comments guys, nice to know some of you guys are about.
