Right after I compile a program I get a strange error...
+ Code Snippet
---------------------------
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
---------------------------
Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\Dark Basic ...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I actually have no idea where it came from, as it was completely random. I had not made a source change to the program. I had not even upgraded DBpro. Any ideas?

Have you tried compiling again? What happened?

Maybe it's just Windows being Windows, I get some wierd errors sometimes and usually have close the editor and open it again. Have you installed or uninstalled anything recently, that sometime gives me errors.

I'll try re-installing DBpro, I guess.

@Zoto - I did try compiling again and I got the same error, therefore it has to be on Windows side.

Ugh!

After installing DBpro again, everything worked fine. Until just a minute ago. The same error came back for no reason. I assume it may have something to do with my coding, but I'm not sure.

Edit: I tried opening another program (iTunes) and guess what? Same exact error. Maybe this should be moved to geek culture...

I would download, install, run and then update Spybot Search & Destroy - then do a full scan to be on the safe side.

You should do the same with your AV software (AVG Free is a good one if you don't have one).

At least then you can rule malicious programs out - even if they have nothing to do with your problem...

Alright, I already have AVG. I'll try S&D, though.

Nope, the error is back. I'm starting to think it is a problem with the registry, but I'm not sure.

Bump* Sorry, but this is really a pain.

Are you getting the error every time you compile any program - or is it only every so often and some programs?

Why not post an example code snippet that results in the error you are talking about?

Well, it appears to be only certain programs. And in some strange cases when I add code to a stable project and compile it, I get the error.

I'd post a snippet, but I can't pin down the actual spots where the error seems to happen.

Thanks for all your help.

Download Registry Mechanic and do a scan and see if its still there ,if it is try contacting microsoft or reinstall c++(if you have it)
