Hey all, I wondered if anyone knew of a way to record what the speakers out put rather than what the mic input. That way I could make a bit of a virtual drum set or something and let the user record to file what he plays.

Any ideas?

It might sound crazy but why not run a lead from the speaker socket to a tape recorder or another PC or loop it to the mic.

If you wana hear it at the same time you could use a Y splitter or the line out to an amp.

I guess your real question might be how to combine .wav .mp3 samples if you want it all pure digital. Like a tracker / sequencer works.

Usually in sndvol32 in the recording options you can enable the stereo mixer, which means input is taken directly from that.
