All was well. I was using upgrade 6.3, happily building my application, when I decided to look into the Enhanced Animation dll. TGC says that I need upgrade 6.5 to use it, so I upgraded.

Oops!

Now, when I try to run my game app, I get the attached errors.

I tried reinstalling the upgrade, but somehow, I don't think that is what they are talking about.

Any ideas? I'm dead in the water now.

Thanks
RH

I dunno if it will help with that error but upgrading to the latest version of Direct X helps with most things. there are many versions of 9.0c so make sure you get the one with the latest date/year after it.

Yes, but that is a dll path error, not related to DirectX. The trouble results from not being able to find a dll at the specified location, or in the default search paths. Try the Bug Report forum, IanM has a repair utility that can straighten this out, I think.

I had a similar problem with slightly different symptoms, which I posted under a title like MD2 Model Load Trouble, or something like that.

Anyway, look in the Bug Reports forum for repair instructions, I think there is a resolution for you there.

Hello, RHJimmy! =)

You simply need the attached DLL installed into your Dark Basic ProfessionalCompilerplugins folder =)

Hope this helps, as I know DLLs can be REAL pains! =)

Good Luck with your project! =)

Problem solved....
I downloaded the newest version of DirectX and installed it. It seemed to be the same date that I already had, but, well, why not. Anyway, all worked fine once I re-installed it and everything worked fine again. I can't imagine what in the upgrade corrupted DirectX, but all is well that ends well.

Thanks for the kind responses,
RJ
