Ahh sorry Brain, it's going pretty slow because I completely suck at making loops! - plus I'm in the process of building my new PC so haven't been doing much coding. I will get it done though, hopefully before too long.

That's cool, it doesn't matter when you get it done. I'd just like to see it when you do!

Also, they have 6 strings, not 5, hahaha.

Note at the rate I can break high E strings they don't

Hahahaha. I've only had that happen like once, I think, but i have friends who break em like crazy. One of my friends managed to break his low E because he tuned it too far. I still don't know how he did that.

I break my low e all the time... its really annoying. I usually just end up living without it till my other strings need changing lol.

How do you people do this? It doesn't seem like it could be from strumming too hard cause I beat the crap out of my guitar while I'm playing and don't usually have this problem.

..I was going to post this before, but...

...when you break it at the nut - its the nut. Otherwise, its the bridge saddles.

The line from the bridge to the nut is very critical. Usually, the slot in the nut is not in that line. Sometimes, you can take a needle file and fix it, but...I'd just take it into the shop in that case.

It is not usually the playing of it; its the mechanics of it.

@Agent Dink : Try putting it through the machine head from the other side; sometimes that works.

have you guys ever had a low e string snap on it's first tuning out of the package? that really pisses me off. how ever even with my violent tremolo picking (I play black metal) I rarely break a string and usually change strings merely because they start to sound like crap.
