hello everyone my name is Doug Hood and I have written a program for Ted that reads the epr file and outputs darkbasicpro code.

the reason I am posting this here is I have emailed the D-Grafix team 4 times and have not gotton a response I need a few beta testers


Note: it takes only on average 8sec to read & generate the output code

this program also auto numbers all your objects and outputs them to a txt file named info.txt for easy debugging of levels

Looks like a handy utility.

I assume it doesn't infringe TED's authors licence or IP though?

as far as I know it don't thats why I was trying to contact them first but 4 emails a month later and still no reply I figure its ok but I have sent Dan another email and PM also posted this in the t.ed forums

Dan is quite busy ATM, so it may take him a while to get back to you. Or his spam filter is eating your emails. This looks like it could be usefull. I started writing the epr loader for DBP (the one on his site), but never got time to fully play with TEd and finish it. It is just based on his Blitz version.

V2.3 has been released

here are the changes

fixed the culling issue

added the ability to convert .X to DBO for use with the new loading system

removed the make mesh from object from the output code ( this was for the DBP default collision system )

TTD now clones props with the same name so you don't keep loading the same prop files

the loading of levels should be much faster now

alright let me know what you think of it.

The default output code its not optimized and the world light is set to 100% so you can see everything more clear.
